Costume Birthday Party

Blake got invited to his first birthday from one of his friends Sam at school!! He was super excited!! It was a costume party, so Blake went as spiderman (last years costume)!! The kids got to play a few games, got to hit a pinata, opened presents, and had cake and ice cream!! It was a really good time!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST SISTER IN THE WORLD!!!!!!

We have had our ups and downs as all siblings do, but in the end we have been there for eachother through thick and thin, and I couldn't imagine a better sister then you!! I dont tell you very often how much you have influenced me and inspired me to be a better wife, mother and sister!! You have grown so much in your life through the years, and your the strongest person I know and I look up to you for that!!!

Kendra

Just wanted to update everyone on Kendra!!!
For the past month on and off we noticed Kendra walking with a limp, the first time we noticed it we thought maybe she had fallen down the night before in the kitchen playing with Seth and I. We gave it a couple of days to get better and it did, so I didn't think anything more of it until this past weekend, when she started limping again. She wasn't feeling good on top of it, but she didn't want to walk, when you would put her down she was real grumpy and would just sit down. I knew after this happening twice now I had to take her in to get looked at, so Monday they did x-rays of her knee, ankle and foot and everything showed just fine, no broken bones no nothing. After talking to the doctor a little more and a few more tests, we found the Kendra's left leg is longer then her right, so our doctor suggested we see a orthopedic doctor, so we go to Omaha on Friday to see what is going on for sure!!

I will keep everyone updated on what we find out on Friday!!!

Sleepover Weekend

So this weekend we had planned a trip to the pumpkin patch in a nearby town!! I thought it would be fun to have my two nieces Ellie and Malia join us while their parents enjoyed a night with some friends!! We also decided that it would be fun to have to sleepover while we were at it!! The kids had SO much fun at the pumpkin patch, they were giggling and running around looking at all the fun stuff!! Miss Kendra hasn't been feeling the greatest, not sure if its allergies or what but her poor eyes look terrible!! So if she doesn't look to happy in the pictures this is why!!
After enjoying the pumpkin patch we headed to burger king for supper and to let the kids play in their play area!! We headed home so the kids could have some fun playing!! It was a great day and night with them all!!
I love being able to spend time with my nieces and I am so thankful that we live so close so that we can have fun weekends like this!!

I also have a couple pictures of our sleepover part, but am too tired to upload them now so I will edit the post in the morning!!

Tomboy

Ok so growing up I was a major tomboy, I loved to be outside helping my dad whenever I could!! I never really cared what I looked like, meaning I didn't care if I was in pink everyday or girly for that matter!! As I got older that changed, and I made sure I was put together and had cute clothes on and makeup and so on!!

When I found out I was pregnant with Blake, my whole family including me was like it better be a boy, because that way I wouldn't have to worry about doing hair and putting on pretty clothes and if he got dirty who cares:) HA!! Having a boy is very easy on that part, you can put them in jeans and a tshirt and your good to go and they still look cute!!

The second time around when I found out I was pregnant with Kendra I prayed very hard that I would have a girl, after seeing my sister with her girls, I longed for that experience of being able to put her hair up in pretties and putting cute clothes on her!! I was super excited when we found out that it was a girl!! Even though I'm not that type of girl that 'has' to be dolled up everyday, I am totally that mom that makes sure my daughter is everyday, well almost everyday!! LOL!!

The older Kendra gets the more you are able to see who she really is right now and let me tell you, she is such a TOMBOY!! HAHA... Of course we put pretties in her hair and put her in cute clothes everyday, but this little girl is so rough and tough already at 1!!

Seth and I were talking the other day about how excited we were that Blake was getting older and we could get him a dirt bike or 4 wheeler and him and daddy could go have some fun boy time!! We both just laughed after we said this because it will totally be Kendra out there with him and not Blake:) LOL!! Don't get me wrong Blake is all boy and he loves doing things with his daddy, but he has this side of him that most people don't see that makes you say he should have been the girl and kendra the boy!!

So this morning while waiting for my sister to pick up Blake for school Kendra found Blakes toy 4 wheeler on the front porch, like the ride on one!! She was in her tights, skirt, pretty shirt and puffer vest!! I just thought it fit her perfect, showed her true self... She was all cute but on the 4 wheeler being 'tough'!! HAHA

I love my kiddos no matter what they are like and they are both so fun and crazy and can't wait to see what they will be like 5-10 years from now!! It will probably be totally opposite of what I am thinking right now!! HA

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!! We are heading to a pumpkin patch tomorrow with our kiddos and my nieces, then having a sleep over with my nieces!! Its going to be crazy, but we will have lots of fun!!

It's a P-A-R-T-Y!!!!

Saturday night we had Kendra's birthday party!! I have been planning her party for a couple of months now and I am so glad it all came together like it did!! I knew from day one that I wanted her to wear a tutu for her birthday, so my sister went onto etsy and found the cutest tutus (well they are all cute)!! I planned her whole party around the colors on her tutu and matching shirt!!

Things went really well the day of the party, I couldn't be happier how it turned out!! A BIG BIG THANKS to Jodi and Katie for helping me with all the food and decorating!! I couldn't have pulled it off without you guys!! THANK YOU!! Love you guys!!
