Nothing

So with all this bad weather we haven't been doing much of ANYTHING... I have done quite a bit of cleaning, playing games with Blake and playing with Miss Kendra!! We don't have much going on this week, but this weekend I am hosting a baby shower for my best friend Theresa, so will have lots to post about that!! Also we are going to get Kendra's 3 month pictures taken this weekend... I KNOW I KNOW what you are all thinking, she will be 4 months Thursday, but with the crappy weather and time, we haven't been able to get anywhere to get them done!! THIS WEEKEND FOR SURE:) LOL

Packages=Surprises

This week was full of surprises in the mail!! I love getting mail and finding out that its not bills:) First off I got a package from my Grandma Judy in Denver, it had a few new shirts and a pair of shoes in it:) I was SOOO excited... I just started my new job last week at the Preschool here in town and she thought that she would get me a few new things!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them, THANK YOU so much Grandma!!



Secondly my sister called today to let me know that Blake and Kendra had presents at her house from our Aunt Lisa out in Denver!! Blake got a really neat water bottle with an alligator and his name on it, and Kendra got a little onsie with a monkey and her name on it!! They are too cute, THANK YOU Aunt Lisa, the kids love them!! I will get a picture of Miss Kendra in her onsie for you soon!!



And the last package we received was Kendras exersaucer, FINALLY!! I ordered it about 3 weeks ago from Amazon and just got it yesterday!! We were all VERY excited for its arrival because Kendra needed something new to help entertain her!! She loves to stand so much that we figured this might help for a little bit during the day:) I put it together ALL BY MYSELF too!! She has been doing ok so far in it, the pictures I have of her in it last night aren't too good, she was crabby and ready for bed, but I insisted that she get some pictures taken in it:) (Mean Mommy) I will post better ones when I get some but for now you will have to deal with these!! HA!

We've got a ROLLER!!!

Well its official Miss Kendra rolled over tonight for the first time!!! She has been trying now for a couple weeks, and finally did it:) The bad part is though that she HATES HATES HATES to be on her tummy, so after she rolls over she will scream until you flip her back over:) (as you will be able to tell in the video) HAHA... She is a little stinker:) I don't think its going to take her long though to roll from her tummy to her back!! I still can't believe how fast she is growing!!

A case of CABIN FEVER

This past week has been MISERABLE around here!! It has been so cold outside, like in the negeatives... Then we got another round of snow, not a whole lot but the winds have been so bad that it is drifting everything shut, especially worse on the gravels!! The school got out early on Wednesday and they had no school Thursday or Friday:) What a good week for the kiddos in school though, first week back from Christmas vacation and they only have to go for 2.5 days:) We are getting so irratable being stuck in the house, I have so many errands that I want to run, but I don't wanna take Miss Kendra out in this cold, so I guess they can wait until this weekend when we are supposed to get a HEAT WAVE! HA! Haven't done much, but I did do a little photo shoot of Kendra in a dress that I had, but have had nowhere to take her in it, so I thought I would just get some pictures of her in it!! Also got a few photos of Blake being SILLY as usual!!

This weekend will be a little more interesting, I'm going to Sioux City on Saturday to get some supplies for my friends baby shower and look for some more clothes for my new job:) Then we have my niece Malia's 3rd birthday party on Sunday:) I am SOOOOO excited to have stuff going on and to be able to get out of this house:)

Hope everyone else is staying warm and entertained while stuck in the house:) Next week isn't supposed to be any warmer:( HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

This year we aren't doing anything but sit at home and eat some yummy snacks, play some games and maybe watch a movie!! This year has been full of lots of ups and downs and full of lots of good and bad memories! I am so excited to see what 2010 brings!

For the past few years I have always said I was going to make some resolutions but have never really stuck to them, I guess because they were probably silly resolutions.. HA!

My number one resolution this year is to not dwell on the things that I can not change, I have spent way to much time this year worrying about things that I can't change. I am going to try and let things not bother me as much and worry about myself and my children!!

My second resolution is to be more organized!! I am the WORST at just stuffing things into drawers or in a closet and then I have the worst anxiety about how much JUNK we have piled up!!

My third resolution is improve on my wife skills and parenting skills. I know I slack sometimes with my husband and my children and want to put them first over other priorities!

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year and I hope that 2010 brings much joy and happiness into everyones lives!!

3 Months

I can't believe that Miss Kendra is already 3 months old!! The time flys by so fast and before we know it she will be sitting up and crawling:)

Christmas 2009

This years Christmas is one that I think all of us will never forget!! We got slammed with 15-20 inches of snow starting Wednesday night!! There is SO much snow out there its not even fun anymore:) HAHA... We are lucky because we don't have to travel but across town, but even that was a struggle!! On top of all the snow my Grandpa Schafer wasn't feeling too good on Christmas morning so my dad ended up taking him up the hospital where they ran some tests and kept him overnight for some observations. We really missed having him at Christmas but we are very thankful that he was in a good place to get himself better!!

We started our festivities off on Thursday morning heading over to my sister Jodis house to open our presents from our Denver family!! After that we headed home and made a yummy steak and shrimp supper then opened presents here at home!! Blake was so cute this year opening presents, he couldn't get enough!! Miss Kendra really didn't know what to think, she just kept starring at all the presents! Next year will be more exciting with her as she will be a little over a year old then:) I can't wait for that!! Santa came, so we opened his presents in the morning then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Schafers house. After there we went to Seth's dads house!! We had such a wonderful time everywhere and got a lot of good gifts and of course enjoyed all the family time with everyone!!

Everything is all put away and the house is back to normal... Until next year:)
